Series: Art of Japan

I've never been to Japan. Thats not true, I had a layover in Narita with my parents. We got sushi in the airport.

For a few reasons, I love Japanese culture. The language, literally and namely visual arts. Painting has been art in Japan for a very long time. Hokusai's Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji . His most famous work ( which was actually the first of the 36 ) is the Great Wave. His woodblock mastery left an impression. I wanted my own wave. I painted this. 

Hoping to have my own view of Fuji one day.
